Integrative nutritional therapy — informed by science, shaped by experience, and grounded in how people really live and eat.

I’m a nutritional therapist with over twenty years’ experience working with people who feel confused, frustrated, or worn down by food and health advice — and who are ready for something more human, sustainable, and empowering.

My work sits at the intersection of evidence-based nutrition, physiology, and how people think, feel, and behave around food. Over the years, I’ve learned that lasting health rarely comes from rigid rules or restriction. It comes from understanding the body, softening fear, and rebuilding trust — in food, and in ourselves.

Early in my clinical and academic career, I became increasingly aware of how damaging food fear, perfectionism, and deprivation can be — both physically and emotionally. Rather than focusing on control or compliance, I developed an integrative approach to nutrition that helps people enjoy food again, understand their bodies more deeply, and make changes that feel realistic rather than exhausting.

Clients often tell me that working together feels relieving, grounding, and unexpectedly enjoyable. That’s intentional. I believe good health is something we grow into with curiosity and support — not something we force through discipline alone.

My background & approach

Alongside my clinical work, I have a background in teaching and lecturing and have mentored hundreds of students and practitioners during my professional career in nutrition.

My practice spans the UK and internationally, and I am regularly invited to speak at conferences, contribute to the media, and offer expert commentary on nutrition, health, and eating behaviour. I’m known for my ability to translate complex science into clear, compassionate, and practical guidance — without fear-mongering or false promises.

While nutrition is the foundation of my work, I’m equally interested in language, habits, routines, and the practical ways people engage with food and health. My approach is guided by experience and evidence, always grounded in ethics, real-world insight, and respect for the individual.

my areas of specialism

My clinical and educational work focuses particularly on:

  • Female hormone and metabolic health

  • Appetite regulation, circadian rhythms, and body composition

  • Stress physiology, thyroid health, and adaptation

  • Gut health, immunity, and food reactivity

  • Nutrition, mental health and eating behaviour

  • Neurobiology, neuroplasticity, and belief-driven patterns around food

Across all of this, my core philosophy remains the same: restriction is rarely the answer. Health thrives when people feel safe, informed, and supported — not controlled..

Working with me

I work one-to-one with clients, speak at events, and support nutrition practitioners and students through clinical support groups and mentoring. Whether I’m working with a client, a graduate practitioner, or a room full of professionals, my aim is always to raise confidence, clarity, and standards — while keeping humanity at the centre.

Together, we can help you find your good food feelings again.
